Vegan Eats : Cacao, banana, oat pancakes (Literally heaven on a plate)

I am absolutely in love with this vegan pancake recipe which I have slowly developed from taking other peoples ideas and sort of creating my own concoction of some sort. I don't really follow a recipe so the measurements I use in this recipe aren't necessarily what I follow every time I make these. It is just a rough idea, feel free to add more or less of anything. And if you aren't vegan you can definitely replace the almond milk with cows milk and the agave with honey. This is just how I personally make them but the great thing about this recipe is you can really cater it to your own preference !

Ingredients:

1 cup of oats
1 banana
1/3 - 1/2 cup of almond milk (not exactly sure but its between this measurement)
A bit of vanilla
A sprinkle of cinnamon
About a spoonful and a half of cacao powder (you could probably use cocoa powder instead if you want)

Method:

1. Blend all ingredients in a blender, I personally use the NutriBullet it blends really well ! Keep blending until you are happy with the consistency of the batter

2. Turn on your stove and place your pan on top with some coconut butter (or butter or any oil of your choice) so that the pancake batter doesn't stick to the pan.

3. When the pan is nice and hot pour some of the batter in to make a pancake ! Wait till you think its ready to flip and using your spatula flip the pancake on the other side. I usually flip the pancake more than once just to make sure its all cooked through.

4. Keep cooking pancakes until all of your batter is gone

5. Now pile your pancakes on top of each other and put any toppings that you want ! I like to sprinkle some cut up strawberry, coconut and some agave syrup on top ! (Agave is like honey but is less thick)

6. Dig in and enjoy ! Even better have a cup of tea, coffee or juice with it to make the perfect breakfast.

This recipe is really easy and super delicious ! You can really add anything to the batter to switch the taste up a bit as well. It still tastes just as good without the cacao powder, so you don't have to add this. Instead you could throw in some blueberries and chocolate chips. Experiment with it ! Also if you aren't vegan and you have something against bananas (I don't know who could not like bananas but…) than you could probably replace it with an egg.

Hope you guys are inspired to make some healthier and even more delicious pancakes !

P.S I don't just have these for breakfast, sometimes when I get home after school and I am starving I whip up a few of these bad boys and enjoy for afternoon tea. You could even have them for lunch !
